How to register CAT 2014

Indian Institute of Management (IIM) has again changed the exam method for CAT (Common Admission Test) 2014 with variation in application procedure, applicants can now apply online only. Last date to submit applications is September 30, 2014. The detailed procedure to submit the application form are here. 

Intellectuals: Applicants should enter all the required educational details.

Work Experience: Applicants applying with the prior work experience should provide the details in this section.

Programs: Applicants can select any number of management programmes from the list of the IIMs. 

Before apply: Applicants should ensure the fulfillment of their eligibility criteria before applying for CAT 2014. Applicants should have every necessary information for filling the application form, such as educational information and mark sheets (10th, 12th, degree, diploma), work experience, valid certificates to upload, scanned images of your photograph and signature. 

User ID creation: On the official website of CAT 2014, applicants should fill up the form with the required details. Applicants should enter the correct mobile number as the password for the CAT 2014 profile will be sent on that number. Applicants will receive their user ID and password through email and SMS. 

Application form filling: Applicants should login with your user ID and password. Application form is divided into the following five sections:

    Personal details

    Academics

    Work experience
    Programs
    Payment

Personal/Individual Details: Applicants should provide the personal information in this section, such as name, guardian's name, gender, nationality,  category (General, NC-OBC, SC, ST, PD) and communication address. Reservation category applicants will download the NC-OBC, SC, ST certificates from the official web portal  of CAT 2014 and have to get attested by powers and self, and scanned (PDF Document) document to upload. Applicants with disability should enter information under PWD/DA category of debility. To apply under the PWD/DA category, the debility percentage should be same or greater than 40%. Applicants will also have to downloaded the differently abled certificate from the CAT 2014 web portal and get the signature of appropriate powers, self attest and scanned document to upload.

Uploading documents and details: Applicants should upload their photograph  (size. 35 mm x 45 mm ). The scanned image of applicant's signature (Size. 80mm x 35 mm ). The file format of photograph and signature should be JPG or JPEG and the file size not exceed 80 KB for both document (Photograph, Signature). The image should be clear with a minimum resolution of 150 inches. Applicants should upload scanned PDF documents the online application form.

Payment: Applicants can pay the application fee through net banking, visa debit or credit cards, American express card.
