University of Calcutta Ph.d Nanoscience and Nanotechnology admission 2014

University of Calcutta (UC) invites applications for admission to the Centre for Research in Nanoscience and Nanotechnology, University of Calcutta (UC) for PhD Course and subsequent research work leading to PhD degree in Nanoscience & Nanotechnology.

Eligibility Criteria: Who have qualified Post Graduate (PG) degree in Physical Science, Chemical Science and Life / Bio-science, are eligible to apply.

Selection: The successful applicants will be called for an interview on 22nd Sep, 2014. The final selection for joining this Department as a PhD student will be on the basis of this interview. At present 15 Ph.D applicants will be taken, if available. The provision of supervisor will also be on the basis of this interview

Note: Who have already passed UGC /CSIR (JRF) Examinations /NET /SET/ SLET/GATE/Teacher Fellowship or equivalent exams or passed the M.Phil/M.Tech or equivalent exam need not appear at the written exam and can directly appear at the interview. 

Exam method: The eligible applicants will have to appear in a written MCQ exam of 1 hour duration to be held on 15-09-2014.
