Those candidates who have qualified SSLC/10th (with minimum D+ grade) examination conducted by the Board of Public Examination, Kerala/CBSE / ICSE / THSLC or equivalent examination from other states or countries can eligible to apply for admission. Candidates must be completed 15 years of age  as on 1st June 2015 and not exceed 20 years, (Age relaxable by 2 years for SC/ST students and 5 years for visually handicapped and Dumb).  The Director, Higher Secondary Education has the authority to sanction relaxation upto 6 months in both lower and upper age limits for candidates belonging to schemes other than Kerala State Board Syllabus. The students should have secured the minimum grade prescribed by the concerned Board for passing each paper. However there is no lower age limit for students who have passed the 10th/SSLC examination conducted by Board of Public Examinations, Kerala. The upper age limit of students from Kerala State Board syllabus is relaxable upto 6 months by the concerned Regional Deputy Director, Higher Secondary Education. 

Submission of Plus One (+1) application form 2015
The Application forms are available in all the government and aided higher secondary schools in the state and the cost of  Rs 25.  Forms and  prospectus  are being distributed through the Government / Aided Higher Secondary Schools for each revenue district. So who are seeking admission in the schools in district should obtain the application form and prospectus from any of the schools in that district and submit the filled application in any of the schools in the same district. The prospectus obtained from one district will contain the school details of that district only. 

There is no restriction on applying for more than one district. If an applicant seeks admission in more than one district he/she must submit separate applications for each district. Since the selection is through District wise Single Window System, Candidates should submit one application is enough for considering several options of schools and subject combinations within the District. After submission of the application at the school the candidates should obtain the acknowledgement slip duly signed by the Principal and affixed with the school seal. Applicants should keep this acknowledgement slip with them till they get permanent admission.

Essential Documents for the +1 admission 2015
  1. Self attested copies of SSLC certificate in proof of eligibility for bonus points, if claimed by the applicant, should be enclosed along with the application form. 
  2. Submit the mark list (Internet copy) along with the application instead of the copy of the original certificate. 
  3. Applicants need not submit separate certificates in proof of Religion,Caste,Local body,Taluk etc. if these details are there in SSLC. However the applicants should submit self attested copies of relevant certificates if they claim benefits the proof of which is not there in SSLC.
Validation of application details

After submission of applications, The school authorities cell will register the particulars of the applicants  and  forward the same to the District level admission monitory cell arranged at the Directorate of Higher Secondary Education. Furnishing wrong details in the application will result in the cancellation of the allotment and will undermine the admission prospects of the applicant. So the applicants are liable to ensure the correctness of the entering data in their applications. All the applicants will be given the opportunity to check their application details on the admission website. Applicants can visit the admission web portal www.hscap.kerala.gov.in and view/check their application by submitting the application number. If anybody finds any mistake/wrong details, required the request for the same with all relevant certificates/documents should be submitted to the school Principal where the original application is submitted within stipulated time and the applicants should see that such corrections are effected.

There will be a trial allotment before finalizing the first allotment and it will be published in the web portal www.hscap.kerala.gov.in. The aim of the trial allotment,  at this time every applicant  should watch it and make correction or  add fresh options if any (it is a last chance to verify and, if necessary, correct their application details).

Kerala Plus One Allotment process 2015

After the main phase, which comprises 3 allotments supplementary allotments will be conducted for filling the vacant seats. On completion of the 1st phase all the students who retain provisional admission should compulsorily remit fees and get their admission . The applications freshly invited from students belonging to SC/ ST against the vacancies in the same categories will be considered in the 3rd allotment. Those who got permanent admission in previous allotments will not hold any claim for the vacancies arise in future. However, applicants who didn’t get their better options in the 1st stage can apply for such options by school/ combination transfer.School Transfer and Combination Transfer will be permitted by merit of the candidates and subject to the accessibility of vacancies. Subsequent vacancies will be filled by supplementary allotments.Supplementary allotments will be started only after carrying out the school/ combination transfers of the students who got admission in the 1st phase.

Permanent admission , Provisional admission 2015
Those who get admission at their first option, should remit fees and secure Permanent Admission. If fees is not remitted such seats are considered vacant. These applicants will not be considered for admission in further allotments. The applicants need not remit any fees for provisional admission.A applicants who is allotted in a lower option can prefer, if he/she wishes, provisional admission and retain his/her higher options.Such applicants should submit their qualifying certificates in original to the Principal for getting provisional admission.The applicants need not remit any fee for provisional admission.These applicants for getting a better option should report to the new school with the original certificates returned from the earlier school. An applicant can retain his provisional admission in this manner till the end of the 1st phase. If an applicant wishes to get permanent admission in a lower option he/she can cancel the higher options, remit the fee and get permanent admission.Such applicants should submit the request for cancellation of higher options to the principal on the day of admission.There is also provision for canceling options selectively. Those candidates who retain their higher options should shift to the new school if they are given allotments in the options of their choice. Qualifying certificates in original should be submitted for both provisional & permanent admissions. Admission will not be granted if original certificates are not produced. Candidates who fail to report for admission within the stipulated time after each allotment will not be considered for further allotments. All the admissions and school transfers to the merit seats will be conducted exclusively through the Single Window System till the closure of admission. The list of students admitted in each school will be published on the web site after each allotment. The students and parents can check these lists.
