Sikkim university invite application for various departments. The applicants seeking admission to various department of the University shall have the option to go for online application as well as submit their applications to the apprehensive department. The application form may be downloaded from in the website www.sikkimuniversity.ac.in (https://www.sikkimuniversity.ac.in/images/stories/Admission14/admission_forms.pdf) and submitted along with important documents. Fees for admission form by demand draft payable to Sikkim University. A student may be permitted to apply for admission to three departments. The application fees is Rs.100 for general candidates and Rs.50 for candidates belonging to reserved categories. Admission for the the following departments.The departments are showing below. Admission for MPhil and PhD programme, generally both written examination and interview are a must. However, applicants with NET (JRF)/ SLET/ MPhil shall be exempted from appearing in a written examination but they must face an interview. The application fees for MPhil and PhD Rs.200 for all categories of applicants and the allotment of seats shall be purely on the basis of merit. General and OBC candidates with at least 55% marks and SC/ST candidates with 50% marks in applicable authorities may apply for MPhil and PhD programme.
Documents to be Submitted along with Application Forms
1. Filled application form with the application fees
2. Recent passport size photographs (2 extra copies)
3. Attested copies of mark sheets, SC/ ST/ OBC certificates and Sikkim Subject certificates
5. Birth certificate
6. Character certificate from the Head of the Institution last attended.
The applicants whose BA/ BSc/ BCom/ BEd results are not declared at the time of submitting the application may submit the mark sheets of the first and second year only and admission shall be considered on the basis of that. However, final admission shall be granted only on submission of 3rd year marksheets (V and VI semesters).
